Abe Lincoln's party's used to have a core
belief:"Equality" meant Black AND White.
But Milton Friedman's creed of"ever more,
eclipsed all vestiges of"wrong" and"right".
A new Progressive wave's long overdue,
like Teddy Roosevelt rode in his day
reclaiming powers hoarded by the Few
if our republic's not to rot away.
The Workers have the numbers, Marx has taught
to rule, as long as government's not bought.
