Ben Carson warned Ted Cruz "I'm not dead yet"
and won't endorse you if I feel coerced
his prospects seem an ever-longer bet
since in a field of ten, he came out worst
the back-room boys recruited a dark face
to show the GOP has got some chops
but Democrats score double points on race
each time a teenaged boy gets shot by cops
his hope of winning always  seemed forlorn
especially as Iowa's so White
he's voiced no policies on soy or corn
that would endear him to the Christian Right
a surgeon running on untested track
would go unnoticed if he weren't Black
