the widows and the orphaned get the tithe
skimmed off the best our fields and flocks produce
that they rejoice--and not merely survive--
this tenth is consecrate for their use
but 'nuther parshah gives it to the priests
is that a second ten percent on top?
can pilgrims making their shelamim feasts
commingle it with bulk-grain of the crop?
