the GOP's contenders have no clue
of what the trenches look like from the ranks
when Congress has no time for me and you
who can't contribute millions like the Banks
a government unmoored sits on the Hill
consumed with raising money night and day
that serves the Bankers, not the Public Will
and legislation's strictly pay-to-play
each generation must rebel again
if Thomas Jefferson read things aright
if we're to be a nation of free men
not subjects to the One Percenters' might
republic's ours to lose, or ours to keep
who sows with demogogues will tyrants reap
